If you thought only dogs could chase cats and scare them, and dogs made better pets than cats, here's something that will prove you wrong.

A candid YouTube video that went viral yesterday shows a cat protect a child from being attacked by a dog. The young boy was playing outside his house when a dog pulled him by the leg. The cat quickly appeared out of nowhere and scared the dog away before it could do more damage. The boy got away with a few injuries.

This YouTube video has received close to 4,000,000 hits in a day and is being shared wildly on social networking websites. The little boy thanked his cat and said, 'She's a hero!'.
