As the popular comic hero Superman turns 75, we look at the actors who have played the super hero on screen- both in movies as well as television.

Created by DC comics, the first Superman comic book was published in 1938. Since then, the comic book series has been adapted on screen several times.



The first on screen version of Superman came in the form of a TV series. Kirk Alyn was the first actor to play the iconic superhero on screen in 1948.
