I give you extract from some discussion regarding a different topic altogether.

Brahma's first consort  Saraswati was late for a yajna because she was waiting for her companions. Brahma had to start that yajna along with his wife. So in Saraswati's absence, Brahma asked Indra to get another girl and Indra found Gayatri, who belonged from Gurjar community. So Brahma married Gayatri to start the yajna in time.^[1]

Upset by this act, Saraswati cursed brahma that he would not be worshiped on earth except Pushkar, Pushkar is the place where Brahma ji is worshiped and also the priest in this temple are from  Gurjar community till the date.

Hi All,

 

My mom has visited Puskar from where she bought Brahamaji Photo. we were doing "POOJA" everyday since last many months but recently my relative told me that there is some "DEVI" vardan that you cant perform "POOJA" of Brahamji's photo. Is this correct? Can anyone have the history about this topic.
